California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice
This Notice applies to California residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It describes the categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA).
Information we collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer, device, or household (“personal information”). In particular, we may have collected the following categories of personal information in the last twelve (12) months:
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email address, phone number, IP address.
- Commercial information — records of products or services purchased or considered.
- Internet or other network activity — browsing history, search history, interactions with our website.
- Geolocation data — approximate location derived from IP address.
How we use personal information
We use the personal information we collect to fulfill the purpose for which you provided it; to process transactions; to send you administrative information; to communicate about products, services, and promotions; to operate, evaluate, and improve our business; and to comply with applicable legal obligations.
How we share personal information
We may share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf (such as payment processing, shipping, analytics, and email delivery), with affiliates, and with third parties as required by law or to protect our legal rights.
In the last twelve (12) months, we have not sold personal information.
Your CCPA rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold.
- Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights.
How to exercise your rights
To submit a verifiable consumer request, email mason@oysterencyclopedia.com with the subject line “CCPA Request”. Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
